Tapped Density Tester

The Tapped Density Tester is used to measure tapped density and flowability of powders.

Working Principle

Powder sample is poured into a graduated cylinder to measure the initial bulk volume.

The cylinder is placed on the vibration module.

The module is actuated by an eccentric wheel, vibrating the cylinder up and down at a predefined height and frequency.

The powder compacts, reducing in volume.

Tapped density is calculated as:
