2. Basic Requirements for Outdoor Powder Coatings

Construction: Aluminum profile doors and windows, curtain walls, railings, shutters – exposed to sun and rain, requiring high-durability coatings (polyester or fluoropolymer). Metal components of building facades, steel beams, and utility poles require UV and corrosion resistance, commonly using pure polyester or modified acrylic systems.

Transportation: Rail vehicles and infrastructure (subway, high-speed rail) face strong UV, coastal salt spray, and extreme temperatures. Specialized powder coatings provide warranties exceeding 10 years. Shipping containers require protection against marine environments, high humidity, and temperature variations.

Automotive: Body panels, wheel rims, and bumpers often use acrylic or polyurethane powders to balance weather resistance, stone-chip protection, and aesthetic finish.

Outdoor facilities: Park benches, street lamp posts, traffic signs, and garden fences require long-term weather resistance, with polyester or fluoropolymer systems being the mainstream choice.
