The Paint Film Impact Tester is designed for evaluating the impact resistance of coatings on metal substrates. It is manufactured in accordance with GB/T 1732-93.
A fixed-mass weight is dropped freely from a specified height onto a coated test panel. The maximum height that does not cause damage to the coating film is observed and expressed in kg·cm.
The tester consists of a solid base with a guide tube, a slotted guide rod, and a cylindrical falling weight guided by a collar. The impact height can be adjusted according to testing requirements.
