Project Background
The customer is a U.S.-based medical equipment manufacturer primarily producing metal medical carts, equipment housings, instrument brackets, and supporting metal facilities for hospitals. Its products are supplied to hospitals, clinics, and medical equipment distributors.
As the customer continued to develop new medical equipment products, it placed higher demands on the hygiene-related performance, durability, and appearance quality of metal surfaces. The customer was looking for a powder coating suitable for metal surfaces used in medical equipment while maintaining stable color, gloss, and coating performance.
Customer Requirements
The customer focused on the following requirements:
Suitable for metal components used in medical equipment
Antimicrobial performance
Good wear resistance
Good resistance to chemical media
Excellent adhesion
Smooth and fine surface finish
Stable color and gloss
Compatible with automatic electrostatic powder coating production lines
Our Solution
Based on the customer's product applications, metal substrates, and production processes, our technical team recommended Antimicrobial Powder Coating.
Considering that medical equipment products frequently require cleaning and maintenance, our team focused on providing a powder coating solution with good surface durability.
During the initial stage of the project, the customer provided color samples and the target surface finish. Based on the customer's requirements, our team carried out color matching and provided small-batch samples for the customer to conduct coating validation.
For different structures such as medical carts, equipment housings, and brackets, our technical team communicated with the customer regarding spraying voltage, spraying distance, coating thickness, and curing conditions to ensure compatibility between the powder coating and the customer's existing coating equipment.
After several rounds of sample evaluation and confirmation, the customer selected product colors including white, light gray, and blue-gray, and proceeded to the small-batch production stage.
Cooperation Results
After production line validation, the customer recognized the surface appearance, color stability, and coating performance of our Antimicrobial Powder Coating and gradually applied it to products such as medical carts, equipment housings, and metal brackets.
The stable powder coating solution helped the customer achieve a uniform and fine metal surface while meeting the surface performance and durability requirements of its medical equipment products.
After completing the initial orders, the customer continued to purchase Antimicrobial Powder Coating in different colors and specifications, and the two parties established a long-term cooperation relationship.
